  Vitra.ai’s face augmentation technology enables Mahindra to deliver a first-of-its-kind seamless hyper-personalised video experience for customers

In continuation with celebrating 60 years of Mahindra Tractors, India’s No 1 tractor brand launched a unique virtual tractor drive experience for customers to generate a realistic, life like personalized video of themselves driving a Mahindra Tractor. Following the unveil of ‘Desh ka Tractor: ‘Mitti se juda, Junoon se Saja’, as a tribute to the Indian farming community, the virtual tractor drive was launched to foster a deeper connection with the brand, while capitalising on the celebratory mood of the festive season.

Partnering with Vitra.ai, a leader in AI-driven face augmentation technology for video personalization and translation, Mahindra Tractors aims to provide farmers with a personal “HERO MOMENT” of themselves alongside a Mahindra Tractor. Utilising cutting-edge rich media powered by advanced machine learning and deep learning methodologies, Vitra.ai’s face augmentation technology enables Mahindra to deliver a first-of-its-kind seamless hyper-personalised video experience for customers, in Mahindra Tractors campaign videos.

To generate a personalised video, users need to go through a simple intuitive process by visiting the Mahindra Tractors website and upload a picture of themselves, their cell phone number and location, for the video to be delivered over WhatsApp, in regional languages based on their location.

By using compressed natural gas, the Mahindra CBG powered tractor represents a significant advancement in tractor technology, reducing pollutants and carbon emissions.

Mahindra Tractors, India’s leading tractor brand, showcased its first CBG (Compressed Bio-Gas) powered Yuvo Tech+ tractor, in the presence of Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India in New Delhi.

By using compressed natural gas, the Mahindra CBG powered tractor represents a significant advancement in tractor technology, reducing pollutants and carbon emissions. Compared to CNG, which is dependent on fossil fuels, compressed bio-gas is a green, renewable fuel that is sustainable and ensures reduced reliance on fossil fuels. It is produced when biodegradable materials, such as farm food and other waste is broken down.

Mahindra’s Yuvo Tech+ CBG tractor also ensures operational power and performance comparable to conventional diesel tractor technology with the capability of handling farming and haulage tasks, while delivering robust power and performance. The new CBG tractor by Mahindra is based on stringent norms fulfilling all Indian standards.

Based on the company’s vision towards promoting eco-friendly sustainable technology solutions, CBG tractor technology aims to benefit both the farming community and the environment.

VEDIC-Mahindra Skill Development Centre was inaugurated today at the Ordnance Factory in Ambajhari, in the presence of Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways. Established as a collaborative effort between VDIA (Vidharbha Defence Industries Association), Yantra India Ltd., and Mahindra Tractors, the centre will address the challenges faced by rural youth and promoting skill development in the Vidharbha region.

The Mahindra Yuvo Tech Plus, based on Mahindra’s next-generation Yuvo tractor platform, marks this milestone, having rolled-out from Mahindra’s Zaheerabad facility, Mahindra’s youngest tractor facility and a global production hub for Mahindra Tractors.

Having rolled out its first tractor in 1963 through a partnership with International Harvester Inc. of the U.S., Mahindra Tractors surpassed the 1-Million-unit production mark in 2004 and then went on to claim the title of the world’s highest-selling farm tractor manufacturer by volume in 2009. 9-years later in 2013, Mahindra reached the 2-Million-unit production milestone, followed by the 3- Million mark in 2019. Just 5-years later in FY’24, Mahindra Tractors proudly sold its 40th lakh tractor. Throughout the financial year, the Mahindra Tractor brand also achieved robust sales of over 2 Lakh units.

The inaugural edition of the awards held at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in New Delhi witnessed the esteemed presence of Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road, Transport, and Highway, Government of India, Acharya Devvrat Governor of Gujarat, P Sathasivam – Former Chief Justice of India and Former Governor of Kerala, along with other dignitaries.

Through the ‘Millionaire Farmer of India Award’ the primary objective is to acknowledge, inspire and elevate the profession of farming in India by recognising farmers who through their unwavering efforts and innovative agricultural practices, have not only doubled their farm incomes but have also achieved millionaire status. These farmers have consistently adopted best practices, and integrated technology, attaining record levels of productivity and profitability from their farmlands over the years.

The 3-day event honours over 700 farmers, across 15 categories, at the district, state, and national levels, such as horticulturists, spice farmers, poultry, dairy etc. and includes prominent personalities from India’s agriculture industry. In Cape Town, Mahindra unveiled new tractors on 3 OJA platforms – the Sub Compact, Compact and Small Utility platforms, addressing diverse market needs. With 4WD as standard, Mahindra launched 7 new tractor models for the Indian market on the Compact and Small Utility platforms. These models range from 20HP – 40HP (14.91kW – 29.82kW), for a wide array of applications, for unparalleled platform versatility and efficiency to handle diverse agricultural tasks.

(M&M), introduced “OJA” as the new brand name for its new future-ready range of tractors from its most ambitious global tractor program, K2. The name “OJA” is derived from the Sanskrit word “Ojas” which symbolises Vitality, Energy & Strength.

The Mahindra OJA is Mahindra’s all-new light-weight global tractor platform, focusing on both domestic and international markets including USA, Japan, and South-East Asia, and has been developed through close cooperation between the engineering teams of Mitsubishi Mahindra Agriculture Machinery, Japan, and Mahindra Research Valley, India, the R&D centre for Mahindra’s Auto & Farm sector.

The Mahindra OJA will have four sub-tractor platforms — the Sub Compact, Compact, Small Utility and Large Utility- tractor categories, covering 40 models across various multiple HP points.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector, a division of the Mahindra Group and the largest tractor producer in the world by volume, today celebrated ‘Kisan Diwas’ in a unique way by forming an image of a farmer with 500 nos. Mahindra Tractors at the company’s Nagpur Plant. This honour was bestowed upon the farmers to recognise their noteworthy and purposeful contribution to the field of agriculture, the backbone of the Indian economy.
