Company’s total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports) during January 2024 were at 23948 units, as against 28926 units for the same period last year.

 Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), part of the Mahindra Group, announced its tractor sales numbers for January 2024. Domestic sales in January 2024 were at 22972 units, as against 27626 units during January 2023. Total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports) during January 2024 were at 23948 units, as against 28926 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 976 units.

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said “We have sold 22972 tractors in the domestic market during January 2024. Retail momentum slowed down on account of tapering of agricultural activities. Rabi crop output is expected to be good with prevailing cold conditions helping the key crop of wheat. Government announcement of a good estimate of Horticulture production, and continued government support to boost rural economy will aid positive sentiments and support tractor demand in the coming months. In the exports market, we have sold 976 tractors.”

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), part of the Mahindra Group, announced its tractor sales numbers for March 2023.Domestic sales in March 2023 were at 33,622 units, as against 28,112 units during March 2022.Total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports) during March 2023 were at 35,014 units, as against 29,763 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1,392 units. The company clocked its highest ever annual sale of 4,07,545 Units (Domestic + Exports) in FY’23.

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We have sold 33,622 tractors in the domestic market during March 2023, a growth of 20 per cent over last year. Increase in crop output, mandi prices staying firm, Government support for increase in MSP for major crops and increase in wages under MGNREGA scheme will help improve the financial security of rural households and boost tractor demand in the coming months. In the exports market, we have sold 1,392 tractors.”

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), part of the Mahindra Group, has announced that its domestic tractor sales were at 47,100 units for September 2022 as against 39,053 units during the same period last year.

The total tractor sales including domestic and exports during September 2022 were at 48,713 units, as against 40,331 units for September 2021. Exports for the month stood at 1,613 units.

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We have sold 47,100 tractors in the domestic market during September 2022, a growth of 21 per cent over last year. This is our highest ever sale in a month. Demand remained strong during the month owing to festive boost, which we expect to continue in October as well. With Kharif crop harvest starting soon and crop prices holding firm, the sentiment is positive. Above normal monsoon has improved the reservoir levels, leading to high moisture content in the soil, which is very positive for higher food grain production in the upcoming Rabi season. In the exports market, we have sold 1,613 tractors with a growth of 26 per cent over last year”.

  Mahindra Tractors’, part of Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector, the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, proudly rolled-out its 300,000th Telangana-made tractor from the company’s tractor manufacturing facility in Zaheerabad.

Mahindra’s 300,000th Telangana-made tractor was rolled-out in the presence of  K. Taraka Rama Rao, Hon’ble Minister for IT, Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & Commerce, Telangana State, Jayesh Ranjan – Principal Secretary, Industry & Commerce and IT, Govt of Telangana, along with Zaheerabad Constituency’s Bheemarao Basawantrao Patil, Member of Parliament & K. Manik Rao, Member of Legislature.

Commenting on the milestone, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “Rolling-out our 300,000th Telangana-made tractor from our Zaheerabad facility is a significant milestone for all of us at Mahindra and for the state of Telangana. Besides being a hub for a wide range of products for the Indian market, the plant also caters to over 60 markets, including advanced markets like the U.S., Japan and Brazil. In line with the agri agenda of Telangana we thank our colleagues in Telangana and the state government in helping us achieve this feat. Going forward we will roll-out our new light-weight K2 tractor series from this facility.”

Established in 2012, Zaheerabad is Mahindra’s youngest and largest tractor manufacturing plant in terms of capacity. It is the only tractor manufacturer in the state of Telangana and has invested close to Rs. 1,087 crores at its facility in Zaheerabad, employing over 1,500 workers with a capacity of over 100,000 tractors per year on a 2-shift basis.

Having rolled-out its first tractor from its Zaheerabad facility in 2013, Mahindra’s Zaheerabad facility crossed it’s 100,000th unit production mark in 2017 inclusive of exports. This was followed by crossing it’s 200,000th unit in 2019.

With the flexibility to roll-out over 330 different tractor variants ranging from 30 to 100 HP, Mahindra’s Zaheerabad plant has adopted TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) since inception and exports to over 60 global markets, with the U.S. being a key export market.

Mahindra Tractors’, part of Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector, the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, has unveiled six new tractor models under the recently launched Yuvo Tech+ brand, further bolstering the tractor platform that the company introduced last year.

Mahindra Yuvo Tech+ is designed and developed at Mahindra’s Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai with world class standards, with the new tractors are powered by Mahindra Tractors’ new m-ZIP 3-cylinder and ELS 4-cylinder engine, delivering best-in-class power, torque and mileage.

Expanding the Yuvo Tech+ range, the six new models are launched in the 37 – 50 HP (27.6 – 36.7 kW) power band and come with key features such as 4-wheel drive, Dual Clutch, SLIPTO, Auxiliary Valve and 2-speed PTO which making it suitable for more than 30 agri applications.

The Yuvo Tech + range comes with 12F (forward) + 3R (reverse) transmission technology, with Dual Clutch and 4WD, with a 3-speed option (H-M-L) for optimal performance based on different soil types and agri applications. With high precision control valves, and best-in-class lift capacity of up to 1700 kg, the new range can handle heavy implements with ease & precision. The SLIPTO feature enables easy of operations for implements like balers.

Mahindra Tractors launched the 275 Yuvo Tech+, 405 Yuvo Tech+ & 415 Yuvo Tech+ with the 3-cylinder m-ZIP engine, and the 475 Yuvo Tech+, 575 Yuvo Tech+ & 585 Yuvo Tech+ with the 4 Cylinder ELS engine.
