This new in-house production capability of Indoxacarb is expected to improve the Company’s control over the availability, quality and cost of this important active ingredient

ADAMA Limited, a leading global crop protection company, announced that it has begun the in-house production of Indoxacarb, a key insecticide active ingredient (AI), with its new proprietary synthesis process providing a building block for ADAMA’s differentiated formulations. Producing this complex molecule with an innovative, cost-effective process is expected to improve ADAMA’s supply chain performance while opening access to a global market of approximately $200 million of Indoxacarb sales as of 2021.

“With its vast global market potential, we identified Indoxacarb as a key building block for ADAMA’s future differentiated product pipeline,” said Elad Shabtai, EVP Global Operations at ADAMA. “This new in-house production capability of Indoxacarb is expected to improve the Company’s control over the availability, quality and cost of this important active ingredient. Moreover, our Indoxacarb formulations deliver powerful solutions, thus combining our AI cost position with superior product features on the formulation side.”

ADAMA is targeting more than 15 countries with its self-produced Indoxacarb, including leading markets Brazil, India and the USA.

In addition to the potential sales of Indoxacarb, ADAMA expects to expand the production and sales of its proprietary active ingredient, Novaluron, due to increased demand, given that these two active ingredients are paired together in formulations to provide a highly effective solution against chewing pests in their early stages of development.

ADAMA’s Indoxacarb is now being manufactured in-house at its production facilities in Neot Hovav, Israel, and in India, requiring a dedicated production line with state-of-the art equipment.

The ADAMA Eagle Eye enables the collection of highly accurate data layers of crop fields to optimise the management of field trials and demo plots

ADAMA has recently introduced ADAMA Eagle Eye, a drone analytics farming platform, in partnership with Agremo, a leading aerial analytics provider.

The ADAMA Eagle Eye enables the collection of highly accurate data layers of crop fields to optimise the management of field trials and demo plots. It is a digital platform that uses AI to perform analytics from drone imagery, allowing ADAMA agronomists and experts to virtually visit the field, collect 3-D images, crop health data and document the progress of our field trials. This knowledge allows ADAMA’s product development and marketing teams to provide better accessibility to crop information for industry professionals and growers across the world.

ADAMA Eagle Eye analysis reports take the guesswork out of crop progress and significantly help the ADAMA team and growers to better understand what is going on in their fields. The software extracts critical information on plant populations, weeds, stress, pests, disease, drought, field arable area, and more, from a drone map to provide field and crop reports. The additional data layer helps ADAMA to make smarter decisions about pipeline projects, providing vital insights using visual data points. In addition, the report helps to provide more focused discussions with growers to deliver optimal solutions.

It will help increase crop yields and provide an alternative to synthetic fertilizers to Indian farmers.

ADAMA, a leading global crop protection company, and Hyderabad based Groundwork BioAg, a global Bio-agriculture company, announced a new commercial agreement offering sustainable cost-effective mycorrhizal products to help increase crop yields and provide an alternative to synthetic fertilizers (especially phosphorus) to Indian farmers. The collaboration leverages ADAMA India’s vast reach and close relationships with Indian farmers and Groundwork BioAg’s Mycorrhizal BioPlatform.

The first innovation to emerge from this collaboration is Tormos™, a granular mycorrhizal inoculant tailor made for India, catering to its unique growing practices and widespread agricultural diversity. Tormos offers an efficient and cost-effective solution for local farmers growing vegetables, sugarcane, potato, and row crops, including corn and soybeans.

With the rising price of phosphate fertilizers, mycorrhizae can play a major role in farm fertilization programs, which is in alignment with the efforts of the Indian government to improve on-farm sustainability across its 160 million hectares.

“As Indian farmers seek new tools to improve productivity amid extreme weather and soil degradation, we understand that the seasonal pressures they face are compounded by global issues like climate change and global market fluctuations. By delivering targeted cost-effective solutions like Tormos, we continue our pursuit to help our Indian customers grow more sustainable crops. Tormos will help Indian farmers enhance their soil health and provide opportunities to achieve better crop health and yield,” said Sahin Ozkan, ADAMA India CEO. “As the leading mycorrhizal inoculant supplier globally, Groundwork BioAg is the ideal partner to help develop and commercialize new and natural options for our customers, while helping India regenerate its soils.”

“Regardless of where you farm, growers face mounting environmental and financial pressures, especially this season. While many biologicals may provide a substitute to chemical fertilizers, mycorrhizal inoculants offer farmers an additional opportunity to increase the plant’s resilience to climate challenges and improve soil health in the long term,” said Kanwal Bhat, India Country Manager at Groundwork BioAg. “We are pleased to partner with ADAMA, a global leader in agricultural inputs, to help meet the needs of Indian farmers by providing access to cost-effective, high quality mycorrhizal products.”

Timeline FX ensures flexibility for growers by giving the widest application window of any herbicide for controlling broadleaf and grass weeds for cereal crops

ADAMA Limited, one of the world’s leading crop protection companies, has announced the launch of Timeline FX, the industry’s most advanced cross-spectrum spring foliar herbicide for cereals.

Engineered with three Active Ingredients with complementary modes of action together with a built-in adjuvant, Timeline FX ensures flexibility for growers by giving the widest application window of any herbicide for controlling broadleaf and grass weeds for cereal crops.

“Farmers shared with us that they were looking for more convenient, effective solutions to control weeds across a range of cereals, and throughout a wide time frame during the busy spring season. We listened and delivered with Timeline FX, which helps save costs, reduces the risk of mistakes during mixing, and delivers powerful performance,” said Rob Williams, SVP ADAMA Europe.

Tests throughout Europe have demonstrated Timeline FX’s consistent control on a wide range of broadleaf weeds and improved management of grassweeds, compared with the competitor standard. There is no herbicide antagonism, so farmers can use other crop protection products in tandem with Timeline FX.

Timeline FX is registered in Lithuania, Latvia and Sweden for use on wheat crops such as Winter/Spring Wheat, Durum Wheat, Rye, Triticale, and Spelt. Registrations in over 20 additional countries is expected to follow suit with registration label extension for barley crops expected. Ingredients included in Timeline FX are Pinoxaden, Florasulam and Fluroxypyr.
