Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in the speciality chemicals and food ingredients industry announced that it has been included in Euronext’s BEL®ESG Index, as one of the 20 listed companies that demonstrate the best ESG practices. This inclusion recognises Azelis’ commitment to a sustainable future and is a testament to its leadership in sustainability.

The BEL®ESG Index identifies and tracks the 20 highest-ranking companies in Belgium that demonstrate the lowest environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks. It also serves investors as a reference to better identify those companies that focus on a more sustainable future by combining economic results with sustainability goals. Only two years after becoming publicly listed, Azelis is proud to be part of that index.

Earlier this year, Morningstar Sustainalytics – a global leader in ESG research and data – gave Azelis the best ESG risk score in the industry, and to enhance the robustness of Azelis’ sustainability reporting in 2022, several of the KPIs within the sustainability strategy obtained ISAE 3000 limited assurance from an independent auditor.

The Company is a leading global supplier of MCA and the first and only producer of green MCA

Nouryon, a global speciality chemicals leader, announced that it is now certified to the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification standard ISCC PLUS for the production of green monochloroacetic acid (MCA) at its site in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. The Company is a leading global supplier of MCA and the first and only producer of green MCA that is derived from sustainably sourced raw materials.

The centre is aimed at providing quality training and creating a competent workforce for the chemicals and petrochemicals industry 

Union Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers and Health & Family Welfare, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated CIPET’s Vocational Training Centre in Bhavnagar, Gujarat today. This was the 45th such vocational training centre of CIPET across the country, aimed at providing quality training and creating a competent workforce for the chemicals and petrochemicals industry. 

At the outset, Dr Mandaviya appreciated the capabilities CIPET has in creating a skilled workforce. He said that CIPET in Bhavnagar has strong potential to become an important cog in the wheel of the development of Bhavnagar. Owing to the vibrant petrochemical industry in Gujarat, such centres would create the much needed skilled manpower for the industry and will create employment for our youth. CIPET will fulfil this need for skilled manpower in the chemical and petrochemical industry. 

According to the minister, CIPET solves this practical problem and the needs of the industry by providing a model of self sustainable institution and industry-academia collaboration. Apart from training, CIPET has been able to provide job opportunities to students, out of 1 lakh pass outs every year, 90 per cent of the students get placed in the industry. 

CIPET is a premier Academic institution for higher & technical education under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India fully devoted to all the domains of plastics viz:- Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, tooling and mould manufacturing, production engineering, testing and quality assurance. CIPET operates from various locations spread across the country to cater to the needs of the Polymer and allied industries. 

Its objective remains to provide qualified professionals at various skill levels through academic long term, short term, skill development and entrepreneurship development programmes in petrochemicals including plastics. CIPET offers Technology Support & Consultancy Services in Design, Tooling, CAD/CAM/CAE, plastics processing, testing and quality assurance, inspection services and calibration to the petrochemical industries including plastic industries.

CIPET also undertakes research and application development in the petrochemicals sector including plastics, synthetic rubber, technical textiles, solvents, fertilisers, pharmaceuticals, additives, explosives, adhesives and coatings.

The company has reported total income of Rs 100.34 crores during the period ended December 31, 2021

Hyderabad-based Bhagiradha Chemicals & Industries has recently posted net profit of Rs 8.91 crores for the period ended December 31, 2021 as against net profit of Rs 8.34 crores for the period ended September 30, 2021.

For the third quarter, the company reported sales was Rs 1,001.07 million compared to Rs 692.52 million a year ago. Revenue was Rs 1,003.47 million compared to Rs 694.07 million a year ago. Net income was Rs 89.2 million compared to Rs 70.92 million a year ago.

For the 9 months ended December 31, 2021, Bhagiradha Chemicals has reported total income of Rs 298.45 crores as compared to Rs 220.97 crores.

Furthermore, the company has posted net profit of Rs 24.86 crores for the 9 months period as against net profit of Rs 16.00 crores.
