SBOF Agrosmart Private Limited, a start-up based in Belagavi, has introduced SBOF Agrosmart, India’s first all-in-one agriculture app powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The app aims to revolutionize farming by offering farmers real-time, data-driven solutions to address the critical challenges faced in modern agriculture.
Founded by Savio Pereira and Swati Pereira, SBOF Agrosmart was created to tackle the growing problems faced by Indian farmers, such as the impacts of climate change, fluctuations in market prices, pest infestations, and difficulties accessing government schemes and modern agricultural tools.
With a digital-first approach, the SBOF Agrosmart app leverages AI, the Internet of Things (IoT), and expert agricultural advisory services to provide region-specific solutions. It guides farmers through everything from crop management to pest control, ensuring they have the right tools at their fingertips. A built-in chatbot provides 24/7 multilingual support, ensuring farmers have constant access to vital information. With over a decade of experience in fertilizer manufacturing and agricultural inputs, the founders of SBOF Agrosmart aim to bridge the information gap for farmers by incorporating advanced technologies. The integration of AI and IoT within the app enables farmers to receive personalized advice, monitor their crops’ health, and optimize their agricultural practices. Additionally, SBOF Agrosmart simplifies the process of navigating government schemes and subsidies, enhancing farmers’ access to financial assistance and essential resources.
The app was officially launched in Belagavi by PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi, with key local figures in attendance, including MLA Asif (Raju) Sait, BUDA Chairman Laxmanrao Chingale, and DCC Bank President Appasaheb Kulgode, among others. The turnout of community leaders and government officials at the launch reflects strong support for the initiative, which aims to empower farmers with cutting-edge technology and the resources necessary to boost agricultural productivity and resilience.
