A total of 150 farmers and farm women participated in the event
The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Khordha, Bhubaneswar, Odisha and the NIGAM, NGO, Bhubaneswar jointly launched a Farmers’ Producers’ Company (FPC) – ’MAHEERA’ at Balipatna Block, Khordha District of Odisha. In his inaugural address, Batakrushna Sahoo advised the farmers for working consistently for its success.
Dr Saroj Kumar Swain, Director, ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar, Odisha emphasised the eco-friendly organic agricultural production in the region for safe and healthy food production.
Dr Shiba Shankar Giri, Head, KVK, Khordha, Odisha outlined the KVK’s continuous support in establishing the Maheera – FPC with the participation of 700 farmers in 35 Farmers Interest Groups (FIGs) spread over 16 Balipatna Gram Panchayats.
