Through KoSSIL, a joint venture with Agrilife aim to tackle global soil health challenges: Aron Oosthoek
Responding to the booming demand for sustainable agriculture solutions in key markets like India, Koppert Sustainable Solutions India Limited (KoSSIL)—a member of the Netherlands-based Reka BV Group—has inaugurated one of the world’s largest single-location production facilities dedicated to Mycorrhiza in the city, as stated a press note issued by the company in Hyderabad today.
Delegates from Europe and South America, alongside leading Indian agrochemical companies graded the inaugural function. In his address at the inauguration, Mr Aron Oosthoek, Managing Director of Reka Group, highlighted Mycorrhiza as a prime example of nature’s symbiotic relationships.
“Through KoSSIL, our joint venture with Agrilife, we aim to tackle global soil health challenges—starting with Mycorrhiza and expanding to a full range of microbial consortium products,” said Oosthoek.
Dr. Venkatesh Devanur, Managing Director of Agrilife, emphasised the facility’s homegrown innovation: “Over 10 years of research and development—from strain isolation to commercial-scale production—have been invested entirely in India.”
This launch aligns perfectly with last week’s landmark EU-India Trade Agreement, dubbed the ‘Mother of All Deals.’ The facility meets stringent European standards, underscoring India’s growing prowess in agri-biotech manufacturing and positioning Kossil to serve global markets effectively.
