Husqvarna Group unveils AI vision–powered robotic lawnmowers for 2026

Husqvarna Group, a global leader in robotic lawn care, is accelerating its innovation roadmap with the launch of seven next-generation robotic lawnmowers equipped with AI Vision technology and night-time operation cameras, reinforcing its leadership in intelligent, low-carbon outdoor maintenance solutions for both residential and professional users.

The new AI Vision platform introduces camera-led perception and decision-making capabilities that enable robotic mowers to navigate complex environments with greater precision and autonomy. Designed as a scalable technology foundation, AI Vision enhances obstacle detection, edge recognition, and adaptive routing, while supporting wire-free installation across select models—significantly reducing setup complexity and expanding use cases.

“The AI Vision technology is a scalable platform that powers smarter, more adaptive lawn care across our entire portfolio,” said Glen Instone, CEO of Husqvarna Group. “It enables innovative and robust solutions for both residential and commercial users. Our products are built to last, and with AI Vision we are adding capabilities that open up possibilities not seen before.”

For residential users, Husqvarna and its consumer brand Gardena will introduce new robotic mower models featuring advanced camera-based navigation, precise edge control, and intelligent obstacle avoidance. Covering garden sizes from 400 square metres to 7,500 square metres, the new range is designed for high adaptability and consistent performance. Select Husqvarna Automower NERA models will also feature infrared cameras for night-time operation, extending mowing windows without compromising safety or accuracy.

Professional users will see an expansion of Husqvarna’s autonomous portfolio with the launch of the Automower 540 EPOS, a robust solution designed for facilities and green spaces of up to 8,000 square metres. The model is compatible with a new AI Vision camera accessory scheduled for release in 2026, which will also support three previously launched camera-ready EPOS models—enhancing flexibility and productivity across commercial applications.

“With the addition of the Automower 540 EPOS to this season’s successful lineup, we are expanding our range to meet the needs of even more users,” Instone said. “Equipped with AI Vision technology and night-time infrared cameras, these solutions bring new levels of operational flexibility and productivity to our customers.”

Husqvarna Group has led the robotic lawn care market since introducing the world’s first robotic lawnmower in 1995. Today, the company offers autonomous mowing solutions for lawns ranging from 400 square metres to more than 50,000 square metres, serving homeowners, municipalities, and professional landscape managers worldwide.

The company said it will continue to advance its product development pipeline and plans to announce further innovations ahead of the 2026 season, reinforcing its long-term commitment to automation, sustainability, and intelligent outdoor solutions.
