At India BioEnergy & Tech Expo 2025, the session on “Emerging Opportunities in Biomobility Sector in India” brought together top industry leaders and policymakers to explore the future of sustainable mobility, blending biofuels, technology, and regulatory frameworks to accelerate India’s transition to a low-carbon transport ecosystem.
Harjeet Singh, Executive Advisor – Technical, Hero MotoCorp, emphasised the role of green fuels in ensuring energy security, CO₂ reduction, and regulatory compliance, highlighting progress on ethanol blending (E20-compliant vehicles).
Kiran Sharma, Advisor, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways – India, shared his journey of advancing ethanol adoption, recalling the development of prototype vehicles two years ago.
Yash Pal Sachar, Vice President – Corporate Affairs, Ashok Leyland, spoke about bioenergy integration into mobility solutions, discussing CBG and gasoline pathways for cleaner transport.
Prashant K Banerjee, Executive Director SIAM, discussed the automotive industry’s commitment to decarbonization.
Ravi Gupta, Chairman, IFGE Sugar Bioenergy Forum & Executive Director, Shree Renuka Sugars Limited, highlighted the sugar industry’s pivotal role in ethanol production.
