MangoPoint, a premium exporter of chemical-free mangoes and mango-based products, has raised $1 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The round also saw participation from The Chennai Angels, Native Angel Network, Keiretsu Forum India, Fondation Botnar, IIM-CAN, Metis Family Office, and JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation (JIIF).
The fresh capital will power MangoPoint’s next phase of growth—expanding infrastructure, deepening global market penetration, strengthening backend operations, and diversifying its portfolio of fresh and processed mango products.
Founded in 2018 by Manjula Gandhi Rooban and Prasanna Venkatarathnam, MangoPoint has positioned itself at the forefront of the global shift toward chemical-free fruit exports. The company’s mangoes are single-origin, naturally ripened, and entirely free from harmful chemicals and calcium carbide, making them a sought-after commodity in premium markets across North America and Europe.
MangoPoint is also the first packhouse in Tamil Nadu to receive dual certification from APEDA and NPPO, and it has cleared FDA inspections—opening access to markets in the United States, Europe, China, and other high-value destinations. Alongside fresh produce, the company exports processed mango goods to meet year-round demand.
With India producing over 24 million metric tonnes of mangoes annually—more than half of the global total—MangoPoint aims to scale its operations from 2,000 MT to 20,000 MT annually in the near term. The company’s emphasis on sustainable practices, food safety, and quality compliance is aligned with growing consumer demand for transparent and ethically sourced produce.
The global mango industry, valued at $60 billion and projected to grow at up to 8 per cent CAGR, presents a significant opportunity for brands that can deliver consistent, high-quality supply. Backed by strategic investors and a robust operational model, MangoPoint is well-positioned to increase India’s share in the premium export segment while setting benchmarks in quality and sustainability.
