Drogo Drones Private Limited has announced that the company has received the prestigious DGCA Type Certificate for its medium-class UAS drone, the Krishi 3 Pro. This certification, a significant milestone for the company, signifies that the drone has met stringent safety and quality standards required by the Drone Rules 2021.

The Krishi 3 Pro is a medium-category agriculture drone weighing 29.80 kilograms and capable of reaching a maximum flying height of 196 feet. The certification process, overseen by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), ensures that the drone has undergone rigorous testing to ensure its safe operation in Indian airspace.

General Aeronautics Pvt Ltd (GAPL) has announced that company has achieved a significant milestone with its latest agri drone, the Krishak V2, receiving DGCA type certification. This certification marks a major step forward in the field of agricultural technology, as the Krishak V2 is set to revolutionise traditional farming practices.

Company mentioned the specifications of the Krishak V2 Drone. The Krishak V2 is a medium-category drone, weighing about 49.30 kgs and capable of flying at a maximum height of 98.43 feet. It boasts a range of advanced features designed to enhance agricultural efficiency and productivity. These features include Active Sense & Avoid for autonomous flying, best in class endurance with more than 6 acres per battery charge, Real-time monitoring, Over-the-Air software update capability, Higher accuracy, Precision Agriculture Ready with Variable Rate Technology, Advanced Path-Planning for complete spray coverage, and Smart Tamper-proofing integration, among others.

 The company mentioned that with the Krishak V2, we aim to transform conventional agricultural practices by providing farmers with cutting-edge technology that enhances productivity and efficiency. The DGCA certification is a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence in the field of agricultural technology.

GAPL also stated that the Krishak V2 will help farmers improve their yields while reducing the environmental impact of farming practices. GAPL is now preparing to launch the Krishak V2 in the market, with plans to make it available to farmers across the country. Kisan drones, manufactured by Garuda, are particularly developed for agricultural purposes such as reducing crop loss, crop health monitoring, yield measurement, and crop loss mitigation.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved both Type Certification and RTPO for the indigenously designed Kisan Drones by drone manufacturer, Garuda Aerospace.

The Made in India Kisan drones, manufactured by Garuda, are particularly developed for agricultural purposes such as reducing crop loss, crop health monitoring, yield measurement, and crop loss mitigation with the latest manufacturing capacities, and strong technology backgrounds.

DGCA Type certification is provided on the basis of the quality check of the drones and is issued after a rigorous testing process for the UAVs. The Type certification was introduced by the government of India in August 2021 under Drone Rules and the historic dual DGCA approval validates the Chennai-based startup’s tag of being India’s most valuable Drone startup.

Post the approval of the Type Certificate for the GA-AG model, the startup is now eligible for Rs.10 lakh unsecured loans from Agri Infrastructure Fund at a 5 per cent interest and 50-100 per cent subsidy from the Government of India. Priced at Rs.4.50 lakhs, these Kisan Drones are India’s most affordable advanced automated Agri Drone which has DGCA-approved Type Certification in the under 25kg small category.

With this development, ICAR, KVKs, FMTTI, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer welfare, and several other Government Agriculture bodies will now have an option of procuring high-tech Made in India Drones manufactured by Garuda Aerospace. This will lead to creating job opportunities for the youth in the near future and a vision of training 1 lakh drone pilots in the next 2 years.
