MoA to provide co-incubation, technical support, networking, value added services, and co-networking opportunities

The Association for Innovation Development of Entrepreneurship in Agriculture (a-IDEA) hosted by the ICAR- National Academy of Agricultural Research Management  has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with NACL Industries Limited, Konda Laxma Reddy Telangana State Horticultural University , Hyderabad, ICAR-Sugarcane Breeding Institute , Coimbatore and ICAR- National Research Centre on Grapes, Pune to support the startup incubated at a-IDEA in particular and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in general.

The MoA proposed to provide facilities like Co-incubation, technical support, mentoring, lab facilities, networking, value added services, and co-networking opportunities.

Dr G Venkateshwarlu, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM highlighted the  strong need of collaborations  among organisations to strengthen agri-startups.

The ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur, Maharashtra signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Ashok Agro, Nagpur as an Incubatee for the Production of Acid Lime Nutri-Jelly under the National Agricultural Innovation Project of ICAR, New Delhi.

Dr Dilip Ghosh, Director, ICAR-CCRI, Nagpur stated that the Agreement will promote the viable agriculture-based enterprises and generate employment opportunities for the Incubatees trained in its ABI Centre. He underlined that the Incubatee – Sumit Gulabrao Tate, a BPL and Divyang Registered with DIPP / MSME is a Start-Up Entrepreneur.

The technology developed by Shri Venkatraman Bansode, Scientist (Food Technology) and Dr Dinesh Kumar, Principal Scientist (Horticulture), ICAR-CCRI, Nagpur can prove to be a source of secondary income to the farmers and Start-Ups as they can set a micro-industry using the technology.

The MoA is aimed to facilitate close cooperation between both parties and create a small platform for uplifting the weaker sections of the society.

The ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa signed an Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU), Pookode, Wayanad, Kerala for establishing the Farmers’ Producers’ Organization (FPO) / Self Help Groups (SHGs) / Community Organizations (COs) of the tribal farmers of the coastal districts of Kerala.

Dr R Solomon Rajkumar, Senior Scientist & Liaison Officer, ICAR-CCARI, Goa represented the ICAR-CCARI, Goa for signing the MoA on the behalf of the Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa.

Dr Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM highlighted the a-IDEA activities and its support to more than 100 Start-Ups in the agriculture and allied sectors.
