The company has started building demo farms in its B2B segment to broaden its reach and address market demand

GROWiT, India’s leading protective farming company, has announced plans for rapid expansion, including the milestone of opening 350+ franchise stores across India by the end of this fiscal year. The Surat-based company is looking to expand its operations in seven new states: Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand. It will allow GROWiT to expand its presence pan India and deepen its mission to disrupt the protective farming space in India. 

As a part of GROWiT’s drive to broaden its reach and address market demand, the company has started building demo farms in its B2B segment. GROWiT will be able to show farmers and consumers the positive outcomes of using its products. The company has also introduced a digital platform for its B2B clients to place orders independently of any third party. Every functionality expected from an e-commerce app has been built into the mobile-first platform. There are also plans to enable farmers to place orders online through a similar platform.

Samunnati, based in Chennai, is India’s leading open agri networks serving the entire value chain with its solutions, including Agri Commerce and Agri Finance. By collaborating with GROWiT, the company aims to enable its affiliated farmers and the larger ecosystem to become more efficient and productive via protective farming, in turn increasing its returns.

For the Surat-based D2F agritech firm, this development also translates to an increase in revenue while also offering its franchise owners increased customer (farmer) reach, which would result in an increase in sales and their income. GROWiT recently entered into technical collaboration with KVK Baramati and will continue to push its efforts towards empowering Indian farmers.

 GROWiT, India’s leading Direct-to-Farmer (D2F) protective farming manufacturer, announced a technology partnership with Baramati Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK). The Surat-based company will receive input on technical aspects of farming, improve its products and remain ahead of the competition, making this development a big milestone.

Similarly, the Baramati KVK, one of India’s largest and most advanced farm science centers, will gain access to GROWiT products for use in research. The access is applicable even if the KVK is conducting trials of different companies’ seeds and fertilizers. It will not only assist KVK in making its R&D more sustainable, but it will also assist the center in increasing yields and providing the best results to farmers.

Overall, the results of R&D conducted with this alliance will benefit the entire Indian agriculture sector. It will also increase the trust of farmers and other stakeholders in the notion of protective farming. Furthermore, KVK students will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about protective farming and the application of related technology.

The center also conducts a variety of events regularly. It will give the company plenty of opportunities to meet farmers and village Sarpanchs and further spread awareness about the benefits of their products and protective farming techniques.

Surat-based protective farming agritech platform GROWiT has raised Rs 3 crores in seed funding through a close network of investors. The round was led by Mehul Shah from IVY Growth. Coppermint, Gaurav Singhvi (Co-founder, WFC), Rajeev Goel (Sagar Life Sciences), Sunay Shah (Mahati Electrics), Rohan Desai (CEO, Triumph Capital), and Mukul Goyal (Tapi Capital) are some of the investors that joined in the round.

The platform plans to make use of these funds by investing in its research and marketing processes that will ultimately enable GROWiT in expanding its customer base and produce standard quality cost-effective protective farming materials and products. The fund will also be utilised for strengthening the GROWiT App, which is designed to assist farmers with a better understanding of protective farming practices and products.
