This revolutionary biodegradable surfactant is poised to redefine agriculture by enhancing the effectiveness of biologicals and agrochemicals while nurturing plant health and growth. Soil-Jet® BSP100, featuring patented Polyether-Modified Polysiloxane technology, is set to reshape irrigation and fertigation practices worldwide.

Field trials conducted in several countries demonstrate a 20-30 per cent increase in the efficacy of agricultural biologicals and agrochemicals compared to existing products. Soil-Jet BSP100 is meticulously designed for agriculture, horticulture, sports turf amenity, and forestry, offering improved efficacy for agricultural biological products and agrochemicals by enhancing deposition, adhesion, and retention on soil and plant leaves, resulting in increased efficiency.

For optimal results, apply Soil-Jet® BSP100 at a rate ranging from 1 to 2 litres per hectare (L/ha) across various crops, including vegetables, grapes, fruits, turf, ornamentals, and more. It is advisable to repeat applications at intervals of at least 10 days, up to a maximum of 6 times per growing season, while adhering to regular irrigation practices between application cycles.

The Bionema Group Ltd has launched a new digital biocontrol Training platform, to help end-users maximise the potential of their highly effective biological-based products, which protect and naturally enhance crops.

Biological agriculture is a fast-growing sector, offering safe and sustainable alternatives to conventional agrochemicals. Unfortunately, when many biocontrol products were first launched, end-users did not appreciate that these technologies might include living organisms and little consideration was given to environmental or other factors that can impact performance.  Educating end-users is a vital part of the biocontrol sector’s success. However, the recent global pandemic, time and cost pressures, and the sheer number of farmers, growers, horticulturalists and other end-users mean that individual training can be difficult to deliver. Digital e-Training offers one solution, allowing end-users to learn at their own pace and in their own time, giving them the flexibility to use the courses around their commitments.

Biocontrols are essentially living organisms, such as nematodes, fungi, bacteria, and beneficial insects. It is important to understand how best to use them. The way they are stored, handled and applied is very important. Without proper care, they may not perform as well as they should.

Bionema Ltd reports the expansion of its portfolio’s quantity and scope, as the company launches a number of new environmentally-friendly biological products to support biological agriculture (BioAg), horticulture, forestry, and turf & amenities.

With growing public awareness and concerns about the effects of chemical pesticides on human health, biodiversity and the environment, there is greater demand for alternative solutions to control insect pests and enhance crop yields. The BioAg market, which includes biopesticides, biostimulants and biofertilisers, has been estimated to be valued at USD 12.6 billion in 2022. It is projected to reach USD 24.6 billion by 2027, according to market analysts MarketsandMarkets, reflecting a CAGR of 13.6 per cent. This rapid rate of growth reflects widespread and increasing demand for biological solutions as the world embraces more environmentally friendly innovations.

Bionema’s new product catalogue lists more than 70 biopesticides, biostimulants, biofertilisers, molluscides, biocides, efficacy boosters, insect monitoring tools and nutrient management products. The portfolio expansion reflects Bionema’s evolution in focus and strategy, announced last year following the company’s deal with Syngenta that secured Bionema’s position as a world- leading biocontrol technology company.

Bionema’s management team set a new course to focus on company growth, which is has been implementing for the past 15 months and has resulted in an expanded product portfolio of products offering biological solutions for agriculture, horticulture, turf & amenities, forestry, and public health.
