Dhanuka Agritech is set to expand operations at its Dahej facility in Gujarat, with the goal of enhancing its manufacturing capacity and boosting export potential. Located within the Dahej chemical zone, the facility currently produces technical-grade pesticides, focusing on the manufacturing of a single active molecule. The planned expansion marks a strategic move to diversify production and reinforce the company’s position in both domestic and international markets
Chairman Mahesh Kumar Dhanuka has revealed that the company is in advanced discussions with its Japanese collaborators to share additional pesticide molecules for contract manufacturing. This strategic partnership is expected to broaden Dhanuka Agritech’s formulation portfolio and strengthen its global supply capabilities.
A key advantage driving this collaboration is the cost efficiency of manufacturing in India, where overhead expenses are significantly lower than in Japan. This makes India an attractive hub for expanded production and aligns with Dhanuka Agritech’s long-term growth strategy focused on portfolio diversification and operational efficiency.
The planned expansion of the Dahej facility, along with potential technology transfers from Japanese partners, is poised to enhance the company’s competitive edge in the global agrochemical market. It will also support higher export volumes and reinforce Dhanuka’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and scale—amid rising demand in both domestic and international markets.
