New open innovation ecosystem connects farmers, startups, researchers, and institutions to drive sustainable, science-led agricultural solutions across India

Rallis India Limited, a Tata Enterprise and science-led agri-solutions company, has launched Idea2Impact, a structured open innovation platform designed to accelerate the development of farmer-centric and sustainable agricultural solutions through ecosystem-wide collaboration.

Branded as the Rallis Agri Innovation Ecosystem, Idea2Impact aims to bring together external ideas, scientific capabilities, and real-world field insights in a transparent and responsible framework. The platform enables collaboration with farmers, researchers, startups, academic institutions, and small enterprises, offering access to Rallis’ scientific expertise, R&D infrastructure, testing and validation capabilities, and its pan-India market reach.

Indian agriculture is facing growing complexity due to climate variability, rising sustainability expectations, evolving regulatory requirements, and changing farmer needs. Rallis believes that addressing these challenges requires innovation beyond organisational boundaries, grounded in scientific rigor and on-field relevance.

Idea2Impact follows a structured, milestone-based governance framework that covers confidentiality, evaluation, development, and value-sharing.
