3rd edition of the India BioEnergy & Tech Expo will be hosted in Greater Noida, UP: Narendra Bhooshan, Addl. Chief Secretary, Govt of UP

Narendra Bhooshan, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy & Additional Sources of Energy Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh announced that 3rd edition of the India BioEnergy & Tech Expo will be hosted in Greater Noida, UP in 2026 on the last day of at India BioEnergy & Tech Expo 2025. He emphasised the state’s strong push for bioenergy, biomass utilisation, and extended appreciation to stakeholders contributing to India’s green growth.

He was addressing the Partner State Session with the Government of Uttar Pradesh which spotlighted the state’s ambitious vision for driving India’s bioenergy transition and positioning UP as a bioenergy hotspot.

Inderjit Singh, Director, UPNEDA, shed light on Bioenergy Policies 2022, the state’s immense potential for Compressed Biogas (CBG), and the pathways to scale up bioenergy adoption, calling Uttar Pradesh a true bioenergy leader.

Dr Ajit Kumar Thakur, Executive Director, Indian Oil Corp Limited, highlighted the role of Oil & Gas PSUs in accelerating CBG adoption and building sustainable infrastructure.

Dr Rawel Singh, Scientist-D, Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio-Energy, spoke about research-driven solutions to boost bioenergy efficiency and innovation.

 Jaideep Saraswat, Associate Director, Vasudha Foundation India, discussed clean power, electric mobility, and emerging technologies as key enablers for energy transition.

Arpit Gupta, Director, Biospark Energy Pvt. Ltd., presented insights from the industry’s perspective, showcasing scalable bioenergy solutions.

Dr Vasundhara Sen, Head – Regulatory, Thermax Limited, highlighted the regulatory landscape for bioenergy and the importance of policy certainty to attract investments.

Sanjay Ganjoo, Director General, IFGE, skillfully moderated the session, enabling insightful discussions on policy, technology, and opportunities.

This session showcased Uttar Pradesh’s leadership in creating a robust bioenergy ecosystem and aligning with India’s Net Zero and Renewable Energy goals.
