Total tractor sales cross 28,700 units globally, boosted by robust Kharif demand and monsoon momentum
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB), a part of the Mahindra Group and India’s leading tractor manufacturer, reported domestic tractor sales of 26,990 units in July 2025, registering a 5 per cent growth over July 2024 sales of 25,587 units.
Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) stood at 28,708 units, compared to 27,209 units in the same month last year — reflecting a 6 per cent year-on-year growth. Mahindra exported 1,718 tractors in July, a 6 per cent increase from 1,622 units in July 2024.
Cumulative year-to-date (April–July 2025) domestic sales touched 1,56,189 units, up 10 per cent from 1,42,517 units in the same period last year. Exports during this period reached 6,608 units, marking a 7 per cent growth over the 6,159 units exported in the corresponding four-month period last year.
“We have sold 26,990 tractors in the domestic market during the month of July 2025, a growth of 5 per cent over last year,” said Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. “This performance was driven by sustained land preparation activities, supported by robust cash flows in rural markets following the conclusion of Rabi crop harvesting. Additionally, the normal progression of monsoon across most regions further contributed to good demand during the onset of sowing for the Kharif season. In the exports market, we have sold 1,718 tractors, a growth of 6 per cent over last year.”
