KisaanSay expands farmer reach with unique 50:50 co-branded strategy

KisaanSay, a B2C food brand focused on direct-from-farm sourcing, announced plans to onboard 500 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) over the next four to five years through a unique co-branded model that ensures equitable profit-sharing. Currently, the company is working with 20 FPOs representing around 50,000 farmers and offering over 100 products across digital marketplaces.

Speaking at a weekly webinar hosted by the Union Agriculture Ministry, KisaanSay founder Nitin Puri explained that the model is built around a 50:50 profit-sharing structure. Under formal agreements, FPOs manage production and bear associated costs, while KisaanSay handles marketing, packaging, and distribution of the final products.

As part of its support, the company provides co-branded packaging materials that conform to standardised quality protocols. Once packed, the products are sent to a central warehouse, from where they are dispatched across platforms and geographies. To optimise logistics and minimise costs, the company plans to set up distribution hubs closer to production zones as sales volumes scale.

KisaanSay’s product line is already available on leading online and quick commerce platforms, including Amazon, Reliance JioMart, Zepto, Blinkit, and BigBasket. Puri also confirmed that the products will soon be launched on Flipkart’s instant delivery vertical.

Highlighting the revenue potential of the model, Puri shared that individual FPOs can generate up to ₹4 crore annually, with profit sharing offering an added incentive. Several partner FPOs have already exceeded Rs 50 lakh in turnover after associating with KisaanSay.

The company is also advancing discussions to launch its product range in Dubai through both online and offline retail channels. According to Puri, KisaanSay’s digital-first approach and aggressive social media outreach have enabled rapid brand penetration.

The webinar was organised under the initiative of Union Agriculture Secretary Devesh Chaturvedi to foster direct dialogue between private sector players and FPO representatives, encouraging collaborative innovation in agri-business.
