VST Tillers Tractors Ltd, a key player in India’s farm mechanization landscape, reported a robust 93 per cent year-on-year growth in total sales for June 2025, fueled primarily by surging demand for power tillers.
The company sold 7,149 units in June 2025 (tillers and tractors combined), nearly doubling from 3,710 units in June 2024. The standout performer was the power tiller segment, where sales jumped more than 112 per cent, reaching 6,651 units, up from 3,128 in the same period last year. The compact tractor segment, however, saw a slight dip, with 498 units sold versus 582 units in June 2024.
For the April–June 2025 quarter, VST recorded total sales of 12,955 units, a 75.5 per cent increase year-on-year, including 11,701 power tillers and 1,254 tractors. This compares with 7,382 units (6,089 tillers and 1,293 tractors) sold in the same quarter of 2024.
The sharp upswing in sales reflects the growing adoption of cost-effective mechanization solutions among small and marginal farmers, particularly in eastern and southern India, where power tillers are critical for land preparation in fragmented holdings.
With the monsoon progressing well and government push for farm mechanization continuing, VST’s momentum positions it strongly for sustained growth through the kharif season.
