Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) reported strong sales growth of 13 per cent year-on-year in June 2025, underscoring a positive momentum in India’s agricultural machinery sector. The company sold 51,769 tractors domestically, up from 45,888 units in June 2024, driven by robust rural liquidity following the Rabi harvest and the timely onset of monsoon across key agrarian regions.

Including exports, total tractor sales stood at 53,392 units, compared to 47,319 in the same month last year. Export volumes also registered a 13 per cent uptick, with 1,623 units shipped overseas, up from 1,431 units in June 2024.

As India’s largest tractor manufacturer, Mahindra’s performance in June sets a strong precedent for the upcoming kharif season, with rural demand likely to remain buoyant on the back of monsoon-linked sowing and stable commodity prices.

Commenting on the performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We have sold 51,769 tractors in the domestic market during June 2025, a growth of 13 per cent over last year. The industry posted growth in June 2025, primarily driven by cash flow from Rabi crop harvesting & widespread arrival of monsoon across most regions. With better long-term rainfall departure this month, land preparation activities are well supported for the upcoming Kharif season. Record foodgrain production especially rice, wheat, pulses coupled with various Government initiatives to improve farmer income are expected to augur well for tractor demand in the coming months. In the exports market, we have sold 1,623 tractors, a growth of 13 per cent over last year.”
