Escorts Kubota Limited reported a 2.2 per cent year-on-year growth in total tractor sales for June 2025, reflecting stable rural demand supported by a timely monsoon and improved farmer sentiment. The company sold 11,498 tractors in June, up from 11,245 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales stood at 10,997 units, marginally down from 11,011 units in June 2024, indicating a flat performance in the home market. However, this was offset by a sharp rise in exports: 501 tractors were shipped overseas, a 114.1 per cent increase over the 234 units exported in June 2024.
According to Escorts Kubota’s Agri Machinery Business Division, the modest growth was underpinned by increased kharif sowing activity, higher Minimum Support Prices (MSP), and above-normal monsoon forecasts, which have contributed to positive liquidity in rural markets.
Looking ahead, the company expects momentum to build further in the coming months, buoyed by healthy reservoir levels, anticipated record kharif output, and continued policy support for agricultural infrastructure.
Escorts Kubota’s performance adds to the broader trend of resilience in India’s tractor market in June, amid rising mechanization and robust agri-input demand.
