GoCarin Industries Pvt. Ltd., an emerging agri-tech startup focused on technology-driven solutions for farmers, has secured Rs 49 lakh in funding from the KIIT Technology Business Incubator (TBI). The investment was made under the prestigious BIRAC LEAP programme, a flagship initiative supported by the Government of India to accelerate innovative start-ups in the biotechnology and agriculture sectors.
The BIRAC LEAP (Launching Entrepreneurs for Affordable Products) programme, led by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), is designed to nurture high-potential start-ups with scalable impact across sectors. This funding aims to support GoCarin in its mission to revolutionize agricultural practices through smart, accessible technology solutions.
In a statement, Ramanuj Panda, Founder and CEO of GoCarin Industries, expressed gratitude for the support, stating that the funding will play a pivotal role in advancing their work. “This support from KIIT TBI and BIRAC is a strong validation of our mission to empower farmers with innovative, tech-enabled tools. It reflects the commitment of both institutions to building a resilient and future-ready agricultural ecosystem,” Panda noted.
Mrutyunjay Suar, CEO of KIIT-TBI, added, “GoCarin represents the kind of transformative thinking the BIRAC LEAP programme is designed to support. Their commitment to solving real-world agricultural challenges through innovation aligns perfectly with our vision for India’s bioeconomy.”
GoCarin plans to utilize the funding to scale operations, accelerate product development, and expand its market presence.
