The G20agri2023 delegates discuss ‘Stock taking of G20 initiatives in agriculture’ at Indore

Discussions were held on agriculture marketing information systems, crop monitors, innovation systems, crop breeding, risk management, etc.

Indore hosted the first Agriculture Deputies Meeting (ADM) of Agriculture Working Group (AWG) under India’s G20 Presidency. The first ADM, a three-day event, was held at Indore during 13-15 February 2023. Around a hundred delegates from G20 member countries, guest countries and International Organizations have participated in the meeting.

The G20agri2023 delegates came together for ‘Stock taking of G20 initiatives in agriculture’. Discussions held on agriculture marketing information systems, crop monitors, innovation systems, crop breeding, risk management and reduction of food loss and waste.

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the exhibition on the first day of the three-day meeting. Millets and its value-added food products along with stalls from Animal Husbandry and Fisheries will be a major attraction of this exhibition.

During the first ADM of Agriculture Working Group, two side events have been scheduled on Day One to deliberate on agriculture related matters. Day Two witnessed the esteemed presence of the Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia following which there was general discussion among the participating members and International Organizations.

Day Three was dedicated to the deliberations on the key deliverables of the AWG. It was technical session with round about discussions and participation from all concerned members and international organizations.
