First ‘Global Agri-tech Summit 2026’ to be held from April 24 to 26 at Bengaluru’s Palace Grounds
The Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FKCCI), in collaboration with the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), is set to organize its first ‘Global Agri-tech Summit 2026’ from April 24 to 26 at Bengaluru’s Palace Grounds.
FKCCI President Smt. Uma Reddy emphasized that the summit aims to connect farmers with industries by bridging the gap between them. “Industry participation in agriculture is currently limited to a few products. This summit will bring together farmers, agritech startups, industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers on one platform to address farmers’ challenges and develop solutions that enhance agricultural growth,” she said.
UAS Vice-Chancellor Dr S V Suresha said that the farming community need to use technology and said, “There are many developments in agriculture like solar-operated tractors, driverless tractors, drone sprayers, etc., which have minimised the labour needed. At the same time, irrespective of big or small farmers, the farming community is facing problems and that need solutions developed by the industries.”
The event will showcase advanced technologies such as AI, drone-based monitoring, precision farming tools, smart irrigation systems, and modern food processing techniques. With over 200 stalls, the summit intends to improve agricultural efficiency, reduce costs, and increase income for the farming community.
In addition to her role as FKCCI President, Smt. Uma Reddy recently promoted Karnataka–Mexico cultural and trade relations as the Lead Engagement at the “Mexican Evening for Taco Day” in Bengaluru, where she engaged with Mr. Adolfo Garcia Estrada, Consul General of Mexico, to explore avenues for bilateral cooperation. The discussion centered on strengthening bilateral ties, fostering cultural exchange, and exploring avenues for enhanced trade and economic cooperation between Karnataka and Mexico
