Project marks company’s first major comprehensive deployment in Karnataka under PM-KUSUM scheme
Oswal Pumps Ltd has secured an order worth Rs 119.92 crore (including GST) from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd (KREDL) for the supply and installation of 3,263 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems under the PM-KUSUM B Scheme, the company said.
The order covers the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar water pumps across capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, 7.5 HP, and 10 HP. The systems will be deployed at designated farmers’ locations across Karnataka as part of the state’s renewable energy and agricultural support initiatives.
Strategic Expansion into Karnataka
The project represents Oswal Pumps’ first large-scale, end-to-end solar pumping assignment in Karnataka, marking a significant step in expanding the company’s geographic footprint.
“This order is an important milestone for us as it opens a new chapter in Karnataka,” said Vivek Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of Oswal Pumps Ltd. “Successful execution will strengthen our presence in the state and support deeper market penetration, creating opportunities for larger projects in the future.”
Reinforcing Execution Capabilities
The company said the order highlights its ability to execute large-scale solar pumping projects backed by in-house manufacturing capabilities, a well-established supply chain, and a comprehensive installation and after-sales service network.
Oswal Pumps added that its consistent track record of timely and high-quality project delivery continues to reinforce its position as a trusted partner in public-sector renewable energy programmes, particularly those linked to rural electrification and sustainable agriculture.
