Milestone reinforces India’s global leadership in agricultural mechanisation
In a landmark achievement for India’s farm machinery industry, Sonalika Tractors and its Bangladeshi distributor ACI Motors Ltd have entered the Guinness World Records for accomplishing the largest-ever tractor delivery in a single day. The record feat — 350 tractors delivered in just four hours — was achieved during a grand ceremony at Dinajpur, Bangladesh, under the theme “Sonalikar Bisshojoy”, symbolising progress, productivity, and partnership.
The milestone marks a defining moment in Sonalika’s journey as a global force in agricultural innovation and rural transformation. Holding the No. 1 tractor brand position in Bangladesh for over five years with a market share exceeding 50 per cent, Sonalika continues to set new standards for reliability, performance, and farmer trust across South Asia.
Sonalika exports a wide range of heavy-duty 30–75 HP tractors, engineered and customised to meet Bangladesh’s diverse crop and soil conditions. Each tractor is produced at the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hoshiarpur, Punjab—the world’s largest integrated tractor plant—where a new tractor rolls out every two minutes under stringent quality benchmarks.
The record underscores Sonalika’s commitment to advancing agricultural mechanisation through innovation that is both locally responsive and globally scalable. It also highlights the growing role of India’s agri-engineering sector in enhancing productivity, enabling sustainability, and empowering farmers worldwide.
With this achievement, Sonalika Tractors and ACI Motors have not only strengthened their partnership but also reinforced India’s stature as a trusted global hub for farm machinery excellence.
