At India BioEnergy & Tech Expo 2025, the session “Bioenergy – Creating Steam and Thermal Balance for a Just Energy Transition” on September 24 focused on how bioenergy, biomass, and thermal solutions can play a critical role in ensuring a just and equitable energy transition for India.

The session saw the presence of esteemed panellist that includes Satbir Cheema, Director, CHEEMA BOILERS Ltd; Arun Unni, Executive Vice President & Business Head – New Energy & Head of Strategy, Thermax Limited; Jinendra Jain, CEO & Group Business Head, FORBESVYNCKE Pvt Ltd; Amrit Khater, Director, Hi Tech Agro Energy Pvt. Ltd and Dhruvil Goradia, Chairman & Managing Director, NJ Renewables Pvt. Ltd. Colonel Rohit Dev, Founder, Reveille Energy & DDG, IFGE moderated the session.

 Satbir Cheema, spoke about his company’s customer-centric approach, emphasizing solutions that save costs while supporting clean energy adoption.

 Arun Unni positioned Thermax as a trusted energy transition partner, working across solar, wind, green hydrogen, ethanol, and biomass aggregation. He highlighted the importance of creating long-term, successful participation models for all stakeholders.

Jinendra Jain shared how his company is bringing multi-fuel and biofuel-ready solutions, ensuring the ecosystem remains focused and future-ready.

Amrit Khater, Director, Hi Tech Agro Energy Pvt. Ltd.  talked about biomass industry capacity building, their focus on client needs, and initiatives like training centres to skill and empower the workforce for the bioenergy sector.

Dhruvil Goradia explained their work as biomass aggregators, establishing manufacturing units, and positioning themselves as leaders in India’s green fuels space.

Colonel Rohit Dev moderated the discussion, asking insightful questions and weaving together perspectives from technology providers, aggregators, and strategists.
