Arqivo makes India debut with high-profile agrochemical launch in Uttarakhand

Arqivo, the latest entrant in India’s agrochemical sector and a subsidiary of Tagros Chemicals, officially marked its arrival with a grand launch event at Tarangi Resort in Jim Corbett, Uttarakhand. Drawing over 100 channel partners from Western and Central Uttar Pradesh and several districts of Uttarakhand, the event reflected strong early traction for the new brand.

With its roots in Chennai-headquartered Tagros Chemicals — a global leader in crop protection present in over 90 countries — Arqivo promises to deliver innovation-driven, farmer-centric agrochemical solutions tailored for the Indian market. The event was attended by top executives including Jobi Eapen, President of Tagros and Director at Arqivo, CEO Radha Krishna, and Vice President Malakajappa, underlining the strategic importance of this launch.

Speaking at the event, Eapen outlined Arqivo’s mission to introduce high-quality, next-generation molecules while actively engaging with farmers and distribution partners through rigorous field-level initiatives. He emphasized the company’s sustainability-first approach and its early adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive operational excellence and value creation — positioning Arqivo as a modern disruptor in the agrochemical space.

The gathering included representatives from major agricultural districts like Agra, Aligarh, Bareilly, and Muzaffarnagar. Leading distributors such as Raj Beer Bhandar (Kosikalan), Kisan Agro Agency (Auraiya), and Bharat Pesticide (Saharanpur) were among those present, reinforcing the company’s wide and enthusiastic channel support. Arqivo also announced upcoming training programs to equip dealers with AI-enabled tools and insights.

Founded in 1992, Tagros Chemicals operates advanced manufacturing units in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, with a capacity of 15,000 metric tonnes of active ingredients annually. Known for its integrated production of Pyrethroids, Herbicides, Fungicides, and specialty formulations, the company sees Arqivo’s India entry as a key milestone in its global growth roadmap.

As Arqivo gears up to scale operations, its combination of global R&D strength, digital-first strategy, and grassroots distributor network sets the stage for a compelling play in India’s evolving agrochemical landscape.
