PNB will conduct its outreach through Krishi Chaupals, Digital Zones, and PNB Booths to effectively connect with farmers and rural communities
Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India’s leading public sector banks, has officially launched its Monthly Agriculture Outreach Programme aimed at strengthening engagement with India’s agricultural communities and improving access to financial services in rural areas.
The initiative, which begins June 2, 2025, will be held on the first day of every month across the country. It seeks to enhance farmers’ awareness and access to financial products and services tailored to both traditional farming practices and modern agri-tech solutions. The outreach will be conducted through Krishi Chaupals, Digital Zones, and PNB Booths.
Key Focus Areas Include:
Self-Help Groups (SHGs): Supporting SHGs through Micro Credit Plan-based financing to expand their business activities.
Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF): Providing credit for farm mechanisation, storage infrastructure, cold chains, and Custom Hiring Units.
PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME): Offering financial support for infrastructure upgrades and market expansion for micro food processors.
Other Priority Sectors: National Livestock Mission, Precision Farming, Hi-Tech Agriculture, and Agro & Food Processing Units.
