Mahindra Tractors reports 10% sales growth in May with 38,914 units sold in India

Mahindra & Mahindra credits the sales growth to favorable monsoon predictions, increased Minimum Support Prices (MSP), and improved farmer sentiment. The company also anticipates that robust land preparation for the upcoming kharif season will sustain strong demand

On June 1, 2025, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB), a division of the Mahindra Group, announced its tractor sales results for May 2025. The company recorded domestic sales of 38,914 units, marking a 10% growth over the 35,237 units sold in May 2024. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) reported total tractor sales of 40,643 units in May 2025, including both domestic and export markets. This marks an increase from 37,109 units sold in May 2024. Of the total, 1,729 units were exported during the month.

Mahindra has so far sold 38,914 tractors in the domestic market in May 2025, registering a 10 per cent growth over last year. The early onset of an above-normal Southwest monsoon is expected to support kharif sowing, with land preparation for paddy already progressing well. The approved hike in Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for paddy and other kharif crops is boosting farmer sentiment. Favorable reservoir levels, the government’s announcement of record foodgrain production, and new schemes aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity are all expected to support continued demand for tractors. In the export market, Mahindra sold 1,729 units. This positive sales momentum highlights strong rural sentiment and encouraging outlooks for the upcoming kharif season. Mahindra remains confident about sustaining growth, supported by favorable agricultural indicators and continued government initiatives.
