ISTA to organize workshop on “Seed Moisture Testing” in Europe  

The participants will be able to test seed samples for moisture content with the ISTA’s special method. 

 International Seed Testing Association (ISTA), an independent organization in seed testing, invites farmers across the world to attend a workshop on seed moisture testing. The participants will be able to test seed samples for moisture content with the ISTA’s special method.

 The workshop will be held on the 10th and 11th of March, 2020 Peja, Kosovo. These following points will be covered in the workshop: 

1. Biological and technical background of moisture testing in seeds 

2. Methods of testing moisture in the soil 

3. Practicals for grinding, weighing, calculating and reporting 

4. Quality Assurance in Moisture testing 

5. Calibration of Quick methods 

ISTA takes authority in seed science and technology and has been constantly working upon developing seed testing methods since 1924. The expertise of the organization is based on the non-profit cooperation from a global community of more than 400 seed scientists and analysts. ISTA has been setting the standards for seed testing methods are helping farmers in maintaining the quality check of the food crops and seeds.
