
Appointment expected to strengthen company’s farmer-centric growth strategy, sustainability initiatives and innovation-led expansion in crop protection
IFFCO-MC Crop Science Pvt. Ltd. has announced the unanimous election of Dileep Sanghani as Chairman of the company during its 47th Board Meeting held on May 1, 2026. The appointment was formally approved at IFFCO Sadan in New Delhi in the presence of members of the Board of Directors and senior leadership representatives of the company.
IFFCO-MC said the appointment marks an important milestone in the company’s growth journey as it continues to strengthen its position in India’s crop protection industry through innovation, sustainability and farmer-focused solutions. The company stated that the leadership transition comes at a time when Indian agriculture is undergoing rapid transformation driven by technological advancement, sustainability priorities and the growing need to improve agricultural productivity and farmer incomes.
Sanghani currently serves as Chairman of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited and is widely recognised for his long-standing contribution to India’s cooperative movement over the past three decades. He also holds leadership positions in several national and state-level cooperative organisations, including National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India, National Cooperative Union of India and Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation.
Sanghani represented the Amreli constituency in the Lok Sabha four times between 1991 and 2004 and has also served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Gujarat. During his political career, he headed several important ministries including Agriculture, Cooperation and Animal Husbandry in the Gujarat government. IFFCO-MC said Sanghani has played an important role in shaping farmer-oriented policies and strengthening cooperative-led agricultural development initiatives.
The company expects his leadership and strategic vision to support its long-term plans to expand its crop protection portfolio, strengthen farmer outreach programmes and accelerate innovation-driven growth. Under Sanghani’s leadership, IFFCO-MC plans to intensify efforts toward delivering advanced crop protection technologies, promoting sustainable farming practices and improving farm productivity across India.
The company also reiterated its commitment to supporting Indian farmers through responsible, high-quality and effective agricultural solutions aimed at improving yields, profitability and long-term sustainability. Members of the Board of Directors, including Hajime Kito, Naohiro Yoshida, Yogendra Kumar, Manoj Varshney and Rohit Chopra, congratulated Sanghani on his appointment and expressed confidence in his leadership.
Senior leadership representatives, including Santosh Shukla, also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to advancing farmer-centric innovation and strengthening sustainable agricultural development initiatives under Sanghani’s guidance.
