Emirates Rawabi and ReFarm Global forge strategic alliance to reimagine UAE agriculture and urban landscapes

In a move poised to redefine the UAE’s food systems and urban landscapes, Emirates Rawabi PSC, one of the nation’s largest integrated agribusiness groups, has entered into a strategic partnership with ReFarm Global Investments LLC, a pioneer in circular and regenerative technologies. The collaboration brings together Rawabi’s deep production expertise across dairy, poultry, feed, and food operations with ReFarm’s breakthrough waste-to-value and soil-regeneration technologies—creating a new model of circular, carbon-conscious agribusiness for the region.

At the heart of the alliance is a shared mandate: Build agricultural and landscaping systems that regenerate rather than deplete. Together, the companies will advance solutions that improve soil vitality, reduce water use, cut carbon footprints, and strengthen national food security, directly supporting the UAE’s climate action agenda. Beyond farms, the impact extends into cities—where the partnership will help design sustainable, water-efficient urban greening strategies that cool microclimates, reduce the urban heat island effect, and elevate the ecological value of Dubai’s parks and landscaped spaces. The goal aligns with the leadership’s vision of making Dubai one of the world’s most beautiful and liveable cities.

ReFarm Global CEO Oliver Christof emphasized the mission to “restore the balance between nature, technology, and progress,” noting that the partnership will equip farmers, food producers, and urban developers with high-efficiency systems that conserve water and enhance air, soil, and ecosystem health. Emirates Rawabi Group CEO Mazen Al Refae highlighted the company’s existing circular operations—spanning biogas, solar energy, and water recycling—under its Emirates Rawabi Sustainable Solutions (ERSS) platform, calling the partnership a major milestone in scaling practical sustainability “from soil to plate.”

Under the agreement, the partners will roll out pilot projects across the UAE, demonstrating circular agriculture at scale—from waste valorization to regenerative soil and water systems. The initiative underscores the UAE’s ambition to become a global leader in climate-resilient food production and showcases how industrial innovation, when paired with ecological stewardship, can pave the way for a thriving, low-carbon agricultural future.
