Indian manufacturer redefines sustainable mechanisation with next-gen hybrid, precision, and compact series for global markets
In a bold stride toward the future of sustainable farming, TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, one of the world’s largest tractor manufacturers, unveiled its next-generation electric hybrid tractor, the EVX75, at Agritechnica 2025. The company also showcased its cutting-edge Terra Vista vision guidance system and three new tractor ranges up to 100 HP—expanding its footprint across the utility, compact, and specialty segments.
The launch marks TAFE’s transition from a conventional tractor manufacturer to a complete farm-solutions company, focused on precision AgTech, automation, and alternate-energy platforms. With a strategic goal to emerge as the global leader in the sub-100 HP segment, TAFE is reshaping the contours of mechanised farming across continents.
At the heart of the showcase was the TAFE EVX75, a 75 HP hybrid tractor that integrates a Stage V diesel engine with a 400 V electric battery system, enabling both zero-emission electric and hybrid operating modes. This configuration offers flexibility for diverse field conditions, delivering higher fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and reduced total cost of ownership.
Engineered with a liquid-cooled high-voltage system and a 3-speed transmission achieving speeds up to 40 km/h, the EVX75 combines performance, comfort, and precision. Features include a climate-controlled cabin, electro-hydraulic rear lift, independent PTO, and high-flow hydraulics, making it automation-ready and ideal for high-demand, environmentally responsible operations. The achievement builds on TAFE’s growing recognition in the global sustainability arena — its EV28 electric tractor was recently named a finalist for the “Tractor of the Year (TOTY) 2026” Award in the Sustainable Tractor category.
TAFE’s new Terra 2.0 digital platform integrates the Terra Vista vision guidance system, providing affordable, scalable, and adaptive agri-tech solutions. This system enhances field precision, mapping, and operational safety — a key step toward smart mechanisation in both smallholder and commercial farms.
The new product lineup showcased at Agritechnica 2025 reflects TAFE’s expanded engineering ambition across diverse tractor categories. The TAFE 1015 marks the company’s entry into the 100+ HP segment, powered by a 103 HP Stage V engine, a 30F + 15R Power Shuttle transmission, and a 4000 kg lift capacity. Its premium, climate-controlled cabin enhances operator comfort and productivity during long working hours, positioning it for heavy-duty applications across Europe and beyond. The TAFE 6065 Compact Series represents agility and efficiency in one platform.
Powered by a 65 HP Stage V engine and available with hydrostatic or mechanical shuttle transmission, the lightweight tractor minimises soil compaction while offering excellent manoeuvrability—making it ideal for orchards, vineyards, and municipal operations. Meanwhile, the TAFE 7515 GE, part of the Fruit and Orchard Series, is a 74 HP narrow-track tractor engineered for vineyards, fruit farms, and hilly terrains. With its optimised ground clearance, tight turning radius, and low-profile design, it offers precision control in confined or canopy-covered spaces.
With its theme of “Cultivating the World”, TAFE continues to build momentum as an innovation-driven, sustainability-focused global brand. The company’s hybrid and precision-farming solutions underline India’s emergence as a key player in the next era of climate-smart agricultural machinery. By uniting technology, sustainability, and farmer-centric design, TAFE is positioning itself at the forefront of global mechanisation trends, empowering farmers to achieve more — efficiently, responsibly, and sustainably.
