Tropical Agro, India’s largest homegrown agri-tech crop and soil care company, has unveiled Tag Fly Gold, a patented insecticide formulation designed to tackle some of the most economically devastating pests affecting India’s high-value crops — including thrips, fruit borers, whiteflies, and mites. The breakthrough product offers farmers a powerful new line of defense in a market where pest-driven crop losses can range from 20 per cent to 90 per cent each season.

Approved by the Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIB&RC) for chilly, Tag Fly Gold has also demonstrated strong performance in cotton, tomato, brinjal and other commercially critical crops. The formulation provides season-long protection from early vegetative growth through fruiting, ensuring healthier plants, stronger resilience, and improved harvest quality.

At the core of Tag Fly Gold is a triple-active formulation — Diafenthiuron, Fipronil, and Dinotefuran — combining systemic, contact, stomach, and translaminar action. This multi-mode approach is engineered to disrupt pest physiology at multiple levels, addressing both visible infestations and hard-to-reach hidden colonies, while helping slow the rise of resistance.
