
Godrej Agrovet Ltd has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) to invest Rs 960 crore in new manufacturing, processing, and research facilities across India. The announcement was made on the sidelines of World Food India 2025.
The investment will support Godrej Agrovet’s Oil Palm and Pet Food businesses, enabling the company to strengthen its agri-food processing, distribution, and supply chain capabilities. Facilities are planned across Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tripura, Telangana, and Maharashtra, alongside an upstream R&D centre designed to enhance innovation and efficiency in the value chain.
Speaking on the investment, Sunil Kataria, CEO & MD of Godrej Agrovet, said, “The MoU aligns with our long-term strategy of fortifying our agri-food processing infrastructure. By investing in manufacturing and R&D, we aim to create sustainable value across the supply chain while contributing to the upliftment of the broader ecosystem.”
MoFPI Secretary Avinash Joshi welcomed the partnership, stating, “Today’s MoU reaffirms our shared commitment to strengthening India’s agri-food ecosystem and advancing rural development goals.”
