Biostadt India Limited has unveiled its newest innovation, ‘Pyankor’—a next-generation herbicide developed to offer efficient weed control for paddy farmers. The product was officially launched in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, with Biostadt’s top leadership, key channel partners, and global collaborators from LG Chem Life Sciences, South Korea, in attendance

Biostadt India Limited has introduced ‘Pyankor’, a new-generation herbicide featuring Pyribenzoxim 5 per cent EC as its active ingredient. Specifically designed for use after weed emergence in paddy fields, Pyankor effectively combats a wide range of weeds, including grasses, sedges, and broad-leaf varieties. The herbicide is fast-acting—absorbed by weeds within 30 minutes of application. Weed growth halts within 24 hours, with visible yellowing in 3 to 5 days and full control typically achieved between 7 and 14 days.

A key highlight of Pyankor is its rainfastness. Thanks to a premium adjuvant, the formulation spreads evenly over weed surfaces and resists being washed away by rain. The recommended application rate is 240 ml per acre, offering both efficacy and cost-effectiveness for farmers.

At the launch event, held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Huzefa Khorakiwala, Chief Executive Director of Biostadt India Limited, reiterated the company’s dedication to delivering cutting-edge agricultural technologies to Indian farmers. He highlighted that Pyankor exemplifies Biostadt’s commitment to innovation and international collaboration, particularly with LG Chem Life Sciences.
