CNH has announced a partnership with Starlink, a SpaceX subsidiary, to offer cutting-edge satellite connectivity to farmers. Through this collaboration, customers of CNH brands like Case IH, New Holland, and STEYR will gain access to reliable, cost-effective high-speed connectivity, enabling the full advantages of a connected fleet, even in the most isolated rural areas globally
CNH has entered into an agreement with Starlink, a subsidiary of SpaceX, to provide farmers with state-of-the-art satellite connectivity. Through this partnership, customers of CNH brands such as Case IH, New Holland, and STEYR will gain access to robust, affordable high-speed internet, enabling the full benefits of a connected fleet—regardless of the remoteness of the location.
“We are excited to offer our customers access to the best satellite connectivity available, empowering them to fully leverage our suite of precision technology in even the most remote farming environments,” said Stefano Pampalone, Agriculture Chief Commercial Officer at CNH.
Starlink’s advanced satellite network delivers reliable, low-latency internet, allowing CNH’s intelligent machinery to communicate efficiently, boosting productivity, and enhancing crop yields. Integrated with CNH’s FieldOps digital platform, it provides real-time visibility of equipment and ensures access to critical data from any location. Additionally, this connectivity offers improved data streaming, ensuring farm management devices remain connected wherever the farmer may be.
One of the significant advantages of this partnership is its application in prescription spraying. In areas like Brazil, where connectivity challenges can complicate farm logistics, Starlink’s rapid transmission technology will make a major difference. CNH’s FieldXplorer platform uses AI to convert drone images into field maps that distinguish weeds from crops. With Starlink, this data can be transmitted almost instantly, enabling the creation of precise prescription spraying maps, allowing farmers to apply crop protection products more quickly and manage weeds earlier—resulting in better crop yields.
This collaboration reflects CNH’s dedication to providing farmers with reliable, customized solutions that cater to the specific needs of agriculture, all while enhancing the capabilities of precision technology no matter where they operate.
