Operating in a highly regulated sector, GPI set out to embed sustainability, ethical compliance, and operational transparency into its tobacco sourcing ecosystem.

Cropin’s intervention fundamentally restructured this system. By geo-tagging every farm and digitising the entire cultivation lifecycle, it enabled 100% digitisation of leaf operations, delivering end-to-end traceability and improved yield prediction accuracy. Real-time compliance tracking ensured adherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Agricultural Labour Practices (ALP), while empowering field teams with tools for pest monitoring and data-driven advisories.

The scale of impact underscores the transformation: 31,357+ farming families engaged, 400 field technicians trained, and over 2.5 million data points captured. Beyond operational gains, the initiative has ensured full ethical compliance, strengthened stakeholder trust, and delivered complete visibility into CSR initiatives—turning sustainability into a strategic differentiator.

Enterprise Adoption and Global Relevance

Cropin’s enterprise deployments extend globally. With brands such as Loacker, the platform has enabled farm digitisation and traceability in hazelnut sourcing, improving quality, transparency, and farmer livelihoods—critical in premium food supply chains.
