Trade corridors rewire amid crisis: PSA Mumbai launches India–Middle East feeder link

New JJS service by Global Feeder Shipping strengthens supply chain resilience and stabilizes cargo flows between India and key Gulf and Red Sea ports amid ongoing regional disruptions

As geopolitical disruptions continue to reshape global shipping dynamics, PSA Mumbai has expanded its network with the launch of a new feeder service by Global Feeder Shipping, strengthening maritime connectivity between India and key Middle Eastern ports.

The service commenced with the inaugural call of MV SSF Dynamic at Jawaharlal Nehru Port, introducing a structured port rotation across Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Jeddah, King Abdullah, Sokhna, Aqaba, and back through the same corridor. The routing enhances linkages between India’s west coast and critical Gulf and Red Sea trade hubs.

Set against the backdrop of heightened instability across major maritime corridors, the JJS service is positioned to improve cargo flow reliability, routing flexibility, and network redundancy. The addition of this loop is expected to support Indian exporters and importers navigating volatile freight conditions and evolving shipping risks.

By deepening connectivity with strategic nodes such as Jeddah and Aqaba, the initiative reinforces PSA Mumbai’s role within regional trade architecture. The development reflects a broader industry pivot toward adaptive logistics networks and multi-port integration as operators respond to geopolitical disruptions.

The launch underscores a wider structural shift in global shipping, where resilience, diversification, and operational agility are emerging as defining factors in sustaining trade continuity.
