DCGpac pushes sustainable packaging with smart manufacturing launch

New facility marks strategic backward integration; company plans Rs 100 crore-plus investment over five years

DCGpac, a leading B2B packaging and procurement solutions company, has inaugurated its first Smart Manufacturing Plant in Noida, marking a major milestone in its transition toward a sustainable, technology-led, and globally integrated packaging ecosystem.

Spread across 20,000 sq ft, the facility has an initial manufacturing capacity of 250 tonnes per month, with provisions for rapid scale-up. The plant represents DCGpac’s strategic move toward backward integration, giving the company greater control over raw materials, manufacturing, quality assurance, fulfilment, and global distribution.

The facility has been established following a long-term investment commitment and a five-year strategic partnership with UKHI, a global material science company that has developed 100 per cent biodegradable and compostable raw materials. This collaboration enables DCGpac to deliver export-grade sustainable packaging solutions at scale.

The Smart Manufacturing Plant will cater to eCommerce, Quick Commerce, Logistics, Retail, and D2C brands, serving customers across India, the UK, Germany, Australia, and the Middle East. It is equipped with advanced extrusion, printing, sealing, and finishing machinery, supported by an in-house Quality Control (QC) laboratory to ensure regulatory compliance and consistent product performance across international markets.

DCGpac clarified that the new manufacturing capability is strategic and complementary, and does not replace its existing vendor and manufacturing partner ecosystem. Instead, it enhances the company’s ability to innovate faster, ensure quality consistency, and support global customers, while continuing close collaboration with its nationwide and international partners.

With the launch of this facility, DCGpac has completed its full vertical integration framework, spanning sustainable raw material sourcing, manufacturing, quality assurance, fulfilment, AI-powered ProPac Platform, and international shipment. This integration is further reinforced by RePac, DCGpac’s circular economy initiative focused on recycling and reuse of packaging materials.

“This manufacturing facility is a strategic milestone in our long-term vision of building a global, sustainability-first packaging ecosystem,” said Suresh Bansal, Founder, DCGpac. “Our partnership with UKHI and backward integration into manufacturing allows us to control quality, scale faster, and deliver truly sustainable solutions worldwide. We are not just building a factory—we are building future-ready supply chain infrastructure for the next generation of global commerce.”

Looking ahead, DCGpac plans to establish a network of Smart Manufacturing Facilities under its Smart Manufacturing Model over the next five years. The combined investment by DCGpac and its partners is expected to exceed Rs 100 crore, aimed at creating a distributed, resilient, and future-ready manufacturing ecosystem to support rising domestic and international demand.

This milestone reinforces DCGpac’s ambition to emerge as a global, AI-first, sustainability-driven packaging and supply chain solutions company.
