The Pesticides Manufacturers & Formulators Association of India (PMFAI) has launched the PMFAI HelpDesk, a centralized advisory platform designed to improve regulatory navigation and compliance readiness across India’s crop protection industry. The initiative aims to support manufacturers, formulators and exporters as they adapt to rapid shifts in the country’s regulatory landscape and digital governance systems.
The HelpDesk will serve as a single touchpoint for stakeholders seeking clarity on registration and licensing procedures, export guidelines, and the Integrated Pesticide Management System (IPMS), which has modernized compliance monitoring across the value chain. By providing timely guidance on policy implementation and documentation needs, PMFAI intends to reduce operational uncertainty and strengthen industry-wide alignment with evolving regulatory norms.
Pradeep Dave, President of PMFAI, said the HelpDesk underscores the association’s commitment to making regulatory compliance more accessible and responsive. He noted that the platform will help companies, especially small and mid-sized firms, navigate policy transitions more efficiently and ensure business continuity in highly seasonal markets.
Dr. Sandeep Singh, Advisor General at PMFAI, highlighted that India’s pesticide regulations are undergoing major transformation with heightened emphasis on safety, traceability and export competitiveness. He said the new HelpDesk will provide guidance that allows companies to stay ahead of compliance requirements and strengthen preparedness for audits and digital filings.
Dr. Sameer Dave, Secretary of PMFAI, added that the association will continue to collaborate closely with policymakers and industry leaders to encourage responsible growth and support India’s ambition to remain a globally competitive agrochemical hub. He emphasized that initiatives like the HelpDesk reflect PMFAI’s proactive approach to enabling transparency, regulatory alignment and ease of doing business for member organizations.
By institutionalizing structured support for compliance, PMFAI is positioning India’s pesticide sector for a more confident response to regulatory evolution while reinforcing its role in safeguarding agricultural productivity and export momentum.
