Future of water-smart manufacturing: Rivulis launches flagship facility in Northern Israel

Rivulis Pte. Ltd., a global leader in advanced irrigation and climate-smart farming solutions, has commissioned the world’s largest and most technologically advanced facility dedicated to the production of drippers and sprinklers — core components that enable efficient micro-irrigation across global farmland. The launch marks a defining moment in the company’s growth trajectory and the broader push to scale sustainable agriculture amid intensifying water scarcity.

The 7,000-square-meter Tzipporit plant in northern Israel fuses high-speed automation with advanced liquid silicone rubber (LSR) technologies, enabling unprecedented consistency, durability, and energy efficiency in precision irrigation components. Housing more than 150 automated production and assembly lines, the factory is designed to operate at high volumes, supplying millions of drippers and sprinklers every day to growers in more than 120 countries across Latin America, Africa, Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia.

The strategic expansion enhances Rivulis’ status as a global manufacturing powerhouse while strengthening security of supply for markets increasingly reliant on micro-irrigation to combat shrinking water resources and drive greater crop productivity. The facility currently employs more than 200 people from nearby communities — reflecting the company’s long-standing model of shared economic opportunity and regional development.

The Tzipporit facility is also built as a next-generation sustainability benchmark. By embedding circular manufacturing principles, the plant prioritises recycled materials, low-carbon energy sources, and smart energy-management systems to minimise emissions and industrial waste. This initiative reflects the stewardship priorities of Temasek, Rivulis’ main shareholder, whose investment approach aims to accelerate scalable climate technologies across food systems worldwide.

With this launch, Rivulis advances its mission to empower farmers to “grow more with less,” reinforcing its role at the forefront of irrigation innovation. The Tzipporit plant adds significant momentum to global efforts to bolster food security — positioning precision irrigation not as a niche solution but as a mainstream imperative for a water-constrained future.
