Shroff has been instrumental in bringing in a sea change in the agri sector
Crop Care Federation of India (CCFI) recently felicitated RD Shroff Chairman Emeritus CCFI. Shroff was conferred with the Padma Bhushan award for Trade & Industry 2021 by the President of India.
CCFI organised a congregation of who’s who of the industry. Among prominent speakers were Deepak Shah, Chairman and Rajesh Aggarwal Vice-Chairman CCFI who lauded the achievements of Rajju Shroff as he is popularly known, the initial entrepreneur to set up a chemical plant, register several molecules for the Indian crop segment, undertake large scale demonstrations and set up manufacturing plants not only in India but abroad.
Dr Ashwani Mahajan of Swadeshi Jagran Manch complimented Shroff for being a staunch nationalist and spearheading the GOI policy of Make in India much before becoming self-reliant.
Rajju Shroff and Sandra Shroff were honoured with shawls and presented with mementoes and bouquets by Nirmala Pathrawal, ED & Harish Mehta, Senior Advisor, CCFI. Ravindra Boratkar, MD, MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications; Publisher, MMA publications; and Chairperson, Agrovision Foundation falicitated Rajju Shroff on this occasion.
A video film trailblazing visionary depicting the initial achievements of the Shroff family and recapturing the years gone by was released much to the surprise and appreciation of the August gathering.
Among other speakers were Dr CD Mayee, Ashish Shelar and Ashwin Shroff who praised his technical competence, and passion for chemistry besides being the second-highest contributor in corporate social responsibility.
