In a move that signals its deepening global footprint, Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection Ltd. , one of India’s leading integrated agrochemical and specialty chemical manufacturers, has signed three exclusive Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with overseas customers for the supply of high-value agrochemical products and intermediates. These products are targeted for commercialization over the next 12 to 18 months, with a sharp focus on advanced markets such as Japan and Europe.
To support this growth trajectory, the company has committed to a strategic capital investment of approximately Rs. 60 crore at its existing manufacturing facility. The funds will be deployed to build two new dedicated manufacturing blocks, enabling increased production of both current high-demand products and a robust pipeline of new innovations. The company has already secured all necessary environmental clearances to accelerate this expansion.
Over the next two years, Punjab Chemicals expects this strategic initiative to contribute significantly to its topline, projecting sales from the new product segment to scale between Rs. 120–150 crore over the next two to three years.
In tandem with this expansion, the company is actively evaluating new greenfield site options to further support its growing product portfolio and operational needs. A formal announcement regarding the new location is expected in due course.
Commenting on the development, Shalil Shroff, Managing Director of Punjab Chemicals, stated:
“We are happy to see the success of our product development, R&D, and market access efforts. Our commitment to quality, IP, and reliable delivery is attracting strong global interest. I believe this is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter in our journey toward growth and excellence.”
Punjab Chemicals’ latest move reflects the company’s evolving strategy—combining deep domain expertise with R&D-led innovation, IP-respectful partnerships, and a customer-centric delivery ethos. As regulatory scrutiny, quality benchmarks, and sustainability norms tighten globally, the company is well-positioned to meet the demands of next-generation agrochemical supply chains.
