Pelayo Casanovas to lead Hendrix Genetics’ business unit

He began his career as a project engineer for poultry facilities at Hispano Suiza T.E. S.L. Agroindustrial in Spain

Hendrix Genetics has announced the appointment of Pelayo Casanovas as managing director for its layers business unit. In this role, Pelayo will lead the layers of the business unit in executing the company’s plans to provide value at every stage of the egg value chain with proven product performance.

Casanovas holds a master’s degree in poultry science. He began his career as a project engineer for poultry facilities at Hispano Suiza T.E. S.L. Agroindustrial in Spain, which was focused on coloured broilers. For the last 20 years, Casanovas held various senior and executive management positions at Cobb Vantress. He comes to the company’s organisation with many years of international experience working in Europe (UK, NL), China and the USA and has in-depth knowledge of poultry breeding, operations, technical service, and sales.
